The LifeFlight crew includes over 400 dedicated employees, who each play a vital role in supporting our mission of saving lives.

Every year, RACQ LifeFlight Rescue's experienced and capable crew help thousands of sick and injured patients.

With an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor on board, the community helicopters are regularly sent to serious accidents, where early medical intervention can often be the difference between life and death.

Helicopter crews are typically made up of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor, Pilot, Aircrew Officer, and intensive care Flight Paramedic or Nurse. On standby round-the-clock, they can be in the air within minutes of being tasked to a mission.

For long-haul or specialist missions, the RACQ LifeFight Rescue Air Ambulance jets can be airborne in as little as 90 minutes. The jets are crewed with a Captain and First Officer, with the ability to take a third crew member for longer flights, along with an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Flight Nurse.

On the ground, our community and corporate team members, as well as our engineers and training instructors, work behind the scenes to ensure our rescue crew are well-equipped for every mission.

Saving lives is truly a team effort.
