The Lee Family and Australian Country Choice LifeFlight Centre officially opened in 2023. The base is home to the Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) AW139 chopper and crew who service the South West region. The Roma base is home to the inaugural LifeFlight Visitor Experience.

The Bundaberg Aeromedical Base is a joint facility, shared with LifeFlight and RFDS that officially opened in 2020. Our crews operate from a Bell 412 helicopter, and have successfully fundraised to have a critical care doctor on board seven days per week.

The LifeFlight Clive Berghofer Maintenance Centre officially opened in August 2024. It is the largest facility in our network, spanning 5,000sqm, to support the ongoing maintenance and engineering of the LifeFlight fleet.

The Clive Berghofer LifeFlight Centre is home of the Toowoomba-based LifeFlight rescue helicopter and the Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) rescue helicopter, officially opening in September 2018.

The Roy and Nola Thompson LifeFlight Hangar is the centre of our operations on the Sunshine Coast. Both our Bell 412 and AW139 helicopters operate out of our Sunshine Coast base.

LifeFlight Australia operates a fully-integrated and dedicated Air Ambulance service, with four of the longest range medically-configured jet aircraft based in the South Pacific
