RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts injured woman after two-vehicle crash

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew has airlifted a woman to hospital after she was injured in a two-vehicle crash, near Gympie.

The aeromedical crew was tasked to the scene just after 1pm.

The woman had been trapped in her vehicle and had to be freed by Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers were also on scene.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, with upper body injuries.

She was transported in a stable condition.
