LifeFlight airlifts man after motorbike crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical team today airlifted a man to hospital after a motorbike crash in the Gympie region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 12.51pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to Glen Echo and landed near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for lower limb injuries.

The man, in his 40s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
