LifeFlight airlifts teen after horse fall

The Mount Isa-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenager after she fell from a horse in the state’s north west.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 6.01pm to a remote cattle station 360km north of Mount Isa.

The critical care Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic treated the patient for suspected neck and lower back injuries.

She was airlifted to Mount Isa Hospital for further treatment.
