The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a motorcyclist to hospital after his motorbike collided with a 4WD in the Scenic Rim region.
The LifeFlight helicopter with a specialist aeromedical team onboard was tasked at 10:21am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed at the Maroon State School oval to rendezvous with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics that had road transported the patient from the scene.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to stabilise the patient, who had suffered a dislocated shoulder and possible internal injuries.
The man, in his 40s, was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
