LifeFlight airlifts young child after machinery incident

The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a young child to hospital after a machinery incident.

The rescue chopper was tasked to a private property in the Gympie region at 11.06am.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for life-threatening injuries.

The child was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
