LifeFlight airlifts teenager after buggy rollover

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenager to hospital after a buggy rollover in the Somerset region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 11:15am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed in a paddock near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for head, face and upper limb injuries.

The teenager was airlifted in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
