The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a motorbike crash in the Somerset region.
The rescue chopper was tasked at 11:20am and landed in a paddock near the scene.
The rider alerted emergency services by activating a Personal Locator requesting assistance.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight critical care paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the man for lower leg injuries.
The patient, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
