LifeFlight airlifts man after horse stomps on him

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man from the South Burnett region after he was injured in a horse incident.

It is believed the man, aged in his 30s, was thrown and trampled by a horse at a private property.

The rescue chopper was tasked at 8:20am, landing in a paddock near the incident scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat the patient.

He was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury and possible internal injuries.
