The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured in a chainsaw incident.
The crew was tasked to a Coalbank property in the Toowoomba region at 8am and was able to land the helicopter in a nearby paddock.
It’s believed the man, aged in his 50s, gashed his leg on the blade of the saw while cutting trees.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for a laceration to his upper left leg.
He was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
