LifeFlight airlifts man after ATV roll over on rural property

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital after the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was driving flipped on Saturday (February 10).

The aeromedical team was sent to the rural property in the Shire of Ballone at around 2.30pm.

The man, aged in 70’s, was travelling in the vehicle with his wife, when it rolled and he was pinned beneath it.

The crew worked with emergency services including Queensland Ambulance Service and he was transported to Roma Hospital in a stable condition.

Tasked by Queensland Health, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
