LifeFlight airlifts injured motorcycle rider to hospital

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital this afternoon after crashing the motorcycle he was riding. 

The aeromedical crew were tasked to the scene in the South Burnett region at around 3pm. 

The pilot and Aircrew Officer (ACO) were able to land the helicopter on a grassy area near the incident. 

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Critical Care Flight Paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for multiple injuries.

The man was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
