LifeFlight airlifts woman after single vehicle incident

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew airlifted a woman to hospital this afternoon, after the car she was driving veered off the road.

The rescue chopper was tasked to the Darling Downs region at around 12:30pm.

The pilot and co-pilot landed the helicopter on the road near the incident.

The LifeFlight medical crew worked with local Queensland Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the woman for suspected spinal injuries.

The patient, aged in her 30s, was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.

Tasked by Queensland Health, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
