LifeFlight airlifts teenager to hospital after horse incident

The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenage girl to hospital, after she was bucked off a horse at Mount Hallen in the Somerset region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 3:31pm by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed at a private property near the scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight nurse worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the high-school-aged patient for head injuries.

She was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
