Woman airlifted by LifeFlight after tubing incident

The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a woman to hospital yesterday after a tubing incident at a recreation park in the Lockyer Valley region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.45pm by Retrieval Services Queensland and was able to land near the incident.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the woman for whiplash and suspected spinal injuries.

The patient, aged in her 50s, was flown in a stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
