Woman airlifted by LifeFlight after car collides with cow

The Mount Isa-based aeromedical crew has today airlifted a woman to hospital after the vehicle she was driving struck a cow.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 7.30am by Retrieval Services Queensland to the scene in the Shire of Cloncurry.

The helicopter crew was able to land in a paddock near the incident.

A woman in her 30s was treated by the critical care Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic for suspected spinal injuries.

She was flown to Mount Isa Hospital in a stable condition.
