Two young women airlifted after car rollover

The Mount Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked early this morning after two women were injured in the Cloncurry region.

The rescue pilot landed the helicopter just after 3am on a road close to the single vehicle accident scene.

It is believed the driver lost control of the car and it rolled over.

The aeromedical crew met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics who where first to arrive.

Both patients had minor head injuries.

They were flown to Mt Isa hospital in stable conditions.
