The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew and the LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew, have each airlifted an injured patient to hospital, after they were involved in a serious rollover in the Western Downs, this morning.
The two men were travelling in a car, when it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rolled several times.
The rescue choppers were called to the scene of the crash, just after 8am.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue and LifeFlight SGAS pilots landed their aircraft on a stretch of highway which had been closed by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
Once on scene, the two aeromedical crews met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patients for multiple injuries, after one of the men had been freed from the wreckage of the car by Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel.
Both men, who are aged in their twenties, were flown to the Toowoomba Hospital.
One was in a serious but stable condition, while the other was in a stable condition.
