Teenager airlifted after being flung from car

The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a teenager to Queensland Children’s Hospital this morning after the car he was travelling in rolled over.

The incident happened in the South Burnett region around 1am.

It is believed the patient was flung through a window of the vehicle when it crashed.

Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics responded to the scene and transported the teenager to a nearby hospital, where the rescue helicopter landed.

The teen was in a stable condition, suffering head, leg and chest injuries, when he was flown to Brisbane under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Flight Nurse.
