Seriously injured motorbike rider airlifted by LifeFlight

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown a man to hospital, after he was seriously injured in a crash, involving a motorbike and car, in the Lockyer Valley.

It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 70s, was riding the motorcycle.

The rescue chopper was called to assist just after 10.30am.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter pilots landed the aircraft on a private property near the scene of the crash, where the aeromedical crew met with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) personnel and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.

The patient was treated for multiple injuries, before being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
