RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts woman bitten by snake

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew have flown a woman to hospital, after she sustained a suspected snake bite to her right foot.

It’s believed the woman was bitten, while she was at a rest stop on the side of the highway, south of Miriam Vale.

The rescue aircraft was called to the scene shortly after 11am (Sunday 29th January).

The pilot landed on the road and the aeromedical team joined local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics in treating the woman.

The patient, aged in her 50s, was flown to Bundaberg Hospital, in a stable condition.
