RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man injured in dirt bike incident

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a dirt bike incident on K’gari (Fraser Island).

The rescue chopper flew to the eastern side of the island shortly after midday (Sunday, 5th February) and landed at a helipad.

The man, who is aged in his 30s, had been riding with a group of other motorcyclists when the incident occurred.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedic treated the rider at the scene before driving him to the helipad to meet with the rescue helicopter crew.
