The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown an injured motorcyclist to hospital, after he collided with a jet ski trailer.

The aeromedical team was called to a coastal town in the Gympie region around 11.30 this morning.

The crew landed at an oval near the incident scene, where the man had been transported to by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.
