Woman seriously injured after single vehicle rollover

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a woman, aged in her forties, to hospital after she was injured in a single vehicle rollover, late this afternoon.

The Bruce Highway, south of Gympie, played as a makeshift landing pad for the rescue chopper, which was sent to scene just after 6pm.

The aeromedical team worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the woman, before she was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
