Mum and baby airlifted after single vehicle car rollover

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a woman to hospital this afternoon, after she was hurt in a single vehicle rollover, which her children survived without injury.

It is believed the woman was turning a corner when her car came off the gravel road and rolled over onto an embankment.

Her children, all aged under 6 years old, were safely strapped into child car seats and were not injured.

The rescue pilot landed the helicopter in a paddock close to the North Burnett incident scene.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care doctor treated the mother, aged in her 20s, for suspected spinal injuries.

Her baby travelled with her when she was airlifted to hospital.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) drove two older children to a nearby hospital for a checkup.
