Motorcyclist injured in crash airlifted by LifeFlight

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a motorcycle crash in the North Burnett region, this afternoon.

It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 50s, was riding in a motorcycle group when he lost control of his motorbike.

The rescue chopper was called into action just after 1pm (Sunday, 26th of March).

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper pilot landed the aircraft in a paddock near the scene of the crash, where the Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic met with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for several leg injuries.

He was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
