Man airlifted after falling off horse

The Mount Isa based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter crew flew a man to hospital last night after he fell from his horse.

The pilot landed in the dark in a paddock on a cattle station in the Mount Isa region.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) critical care flight paramedic treated the patient under a spotlight at the incident.

The man, aged in his 30s, had internal injuries and was flown to Mount Isa Hospital in a stable condition.
