The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew yesterday rescue-winched two rock climbers to safety after they became stranded.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.40pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to the Glass House Mountains in the Sunshine Coast region.
The LifeFlight rescue crew officer (RCO) was winched down to the climbers before a female and then male were winched back into the helicopter.
The helicopter landed at the base of the mountain where both patients were assessed by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.
The female in her 30s and the male in his 20s did not require medical treatment.
