The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was injured in a motorbike crash on a private property, this afternoon.
It’s believed the rider had been attempting a jump on a motocross track when she crashed.
The rescue chopper was called to the scene, in the Gympie region, shortly after 1pm (Sunday 11th June).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat the woman for leg injuries.
The motorbike rider, who is aged in her 30s, was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
