LifeFlight airlifts woman after ATV rollover

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a woman to hospital after an ATV rollover in the Somerset region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 2.11pm by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the woman for suspected head, chest and back injuries.

The patient, in her 50s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
