The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew yesterday airlifted a woman to hospital after an ATV rollover.
The chopper was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland to the Maranoa region at 1.52pm and landed on a dirt road at a private property.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the woman for suspected arm and chest injuries.
The patient, in her 20s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
