The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital with a serious arm injury.
It is believed the man, aged in in his 80s, was using a drop saw at a private property on an island in the Moreton Bay region when he sustained the injury.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 4.35pm and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the patient to a local sports oval where the helicopter landed.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight nurse worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient before he was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
