LifeFlight airlifts man in critical condition after crash

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew last night airlifted a man to hospital after a car and quad bike crash.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.50pm to a stretch of road in Delan.

The crew landed on a roadside near the scene where the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), Queensland Police Service (QPS), and Queensland Fire Department (QFD) were in attendance.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor, QAS flight paramedic and local QAS paramedics worked together to treat a male quad bike rider in his 20s for a fractured leg and suspected spinal injuries.

The man was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
