LifeFlight airlifts man after motorcycle incident

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital after a motorcycle incident.

The chopper was tasked to the Western Downs region at 1.30pm.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the man for back and pelvic injuries.

The patient, aged in his 70s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
