LifeFlight airlifts man after motorcycle incident

The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a motorcycle incident in the Somerset region.

The rescue helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ), at 1.43pm and met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics at an oval near the scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for lower limb injuries.

The man, in his 30s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
