LifeFlight airlifts man after machinery incident

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured in an incident involving a bobcat.

The rescue helicopter was tasked to a property in the Gladstone region at 3.42pm.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for a leg injury.

The man, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to the LifeFlight Bundaberg base and transported by ambulance to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
