LifeFlight airlifts man after crash

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a single vehicle rollover in the Bundaberg region.

The patient was trapped in the vehicle following the crash and freed by Queensland Fire Department (QFD) firefighters.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 6.20am and landed on the road, which had been closed by the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics worked with the QAS flight paramedic to treat the patient who suffered significant head injuries.

He was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.
