LifeFlight airlifts driver injured in single vehicle crash

 

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown an injured driver to hospital, after he was involved in a single vehicle crash in the North Burnett region, this morning. 

It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 40s, was driving on a gravel road when he lost control of the car, causing it to roll off the edge of the road and down an embankment. 

The rescue chopper was tasked to assist, just before 10am. 

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter pilot landed the aircraft on a private property near where the crash had occurred, where the aeromedical crew met with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for neck and rib injuries. 

The driver was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
