LifeFlight airlifts boy to hospital after swing fall

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a boy to hospital from the Gympie region after he fell from a swing.

The LifeFlight helicopter crew was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 11:33am Saturday and landed at the Double Island Conservation Park.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic treated the boy for head injuries.

He was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
