Gunshot victim airlifted to Brisbane

A gunshot victim was flown from the Western Downs region by the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew this afternoon.

The rescue chopper was tasked at around 1pm to airlift the patient from a medical facility. 

The male patient was in a stable but critical condition when he was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
