Critically injured driver airlifted after car and bus collision

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured woman to hospital, after she was involved in a car crash, earlier today.

It’s believed the woman was driving her vehicle, along a highway in the Maranoa region, when it collided with a bus, Friday afternoon (14th May).

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Paramedics initially treated the woman at the scene, before driving her to Roma airport, to rendezvous with the aeromedical crew.

She had suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical but stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
