The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after he was struck by a metal pole that had fallen.
The rescue chopper was tasked to the Toowoomba region at around 11.30am after a man in his 30s was struck on the back of the head by the falling pole near a feed lot.
The crew landed the helicopter on a dirt driveway close to the incident on a private property.
A LifeFlight critical care doctor and local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the patient for head and neck injuries.
He was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
