LifeFlight airlifts man with significant leg injury

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) aeromedical crew today airlifted a man after a machinery incident in the Maranoa region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 10.20am to a rural property and landed near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for a significant leg injury.

The man, in his 20s, was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.

The LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
