The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday rescue-winched a man after a fall from a ladder at a property in the Gladstone region.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 10.01am to a private property.
It is understood the man was cutting tree branches at his property when he fell.
The LifeFlight helicopter winched down the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic and LifeFlight rescue crew officer to the patient.
He was treated by the critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic working with local QAS paramedics for facial abrasions and pelvic injuries.
The patient, in his 60s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
