The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) aeromedical crew today airlifted two patients after a vehicle rollover.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 10am by Retrieval Services Queensland to a rural road in the Maranoa region near Injune and the crew was able to land near the incident.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat both patients.
A male in his 40s was treated for neck injuries and a female in her 30s was treated for abrasions to her head.
Both patients were airlifted to Roma Hospital for further treatment.
Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
