LifeFlight airlifts man after heavy vehicle rollover

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a heavy vehicle rollover in the Shire of Banana.

The helicopter was tasked at 11.45am by Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ) and landed on a road near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for chest and pelvis injuries.

The patient, in his 30s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment.

The LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
