The Mount Isa-based LifeFlight aeromedical team today airlifted a man to hospital after he fell from a motorcycle while mustering.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.27pm by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed on a private property southwest of Camooweal.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic and Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) doctor treated the man for spinal injuries and a suspected dislocated shoulder.

The patient, in his 20s, was airlifted to the LifeFlight Mount Isa base and road transported by QAS paramedics to Mount Isa Hospital.
