LifeFlight airlifts teen with burns

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenager after he sustained burns during an incident in the North Burnett region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 4.46pm by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed at a private property near Gayndah.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for significant burns.

The teenager was airlifted to the Bundaberg LifeFlight base and road transported by QAS paramedics to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
