LifeFlight airlifts man after fall through skylight

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after he fell through a skylight.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 3.58pm to an oval northeast of Gympie.

Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transferred the patient to the helicopter at the oval.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic treated the patient for head and neck injuries onboard the helicopter.

The patient, aged in his 70s, was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
